NCTracks: Are You on Track for July 1?

NCTracks, the new claims system for the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), goes live July 1. It replaces older DHHS claims systems for Medicaid and state-paid mental health, public health and rural health services.

If you are a health care provider who submits claims to DHHS (or through a billing agent), review the checklist to make sure you have done everything necessary. Delay and your payments could be disrupted.

✓     Register in NCTracks using the Authorization code in your Currently Enrolled Provider (CEP) letter. If you have not received a CEP letter, call 1-866-844-1113.
✓     Obtain an NCID for your Office Administrator and additional NCIDs for staff who will access NCTracks.
✓     Train in the new system. Select “CLASSROOM TRAINING” for information on instructor-led sessions or “ONLINE TRAINING” for computer-based training. For a guide to NCTracks training, including course recommendations by office function, go to POP Training Information.
✓     Verify your taxonomy codes and locations (Provider Taxonomy Lookup).

Welcome!

NCTracks is provided as a service for North Carolina's health care providers and consumers as part of the new, multi-program NC Medicaid Management Information System. The site offers information and forms to help providers enroll in the Medicaid program. In the future, the site will expand to support additional features for Medicaid and other programs including NC Health Choice for Children, public health and mental health services.
